IKA Series 2000 Mixers

• Modular Construction - for versatility
• Interchangeable single-stage or 3-stage configuration
• Engineered to ensure consistent, accurate scale-up
• CIP and SIP capability
• Compliance with FDA and EHEDG recommendations
• Vertical format ensures complete emptying
• Low noise level
• Especially suited to food and pharmaceutical industries

The IKA 2000 Series of modular-construction dispersing machines share the same motor and baseplate arrangement for each size. This enables interchangeability between the ULTRA-TURRAX UTL single-stage high shear disperser and the DISPAX-REACTOR DR three-stage machines.

Constant parameters for speed and geometry of the rotor/stator generators, between the UTL and the DR ranges ensure accurate scale-up.

All machines are suitable for CIP and SIP respectively. The design, materials of construction and quality of surfaces are in accordance to the recommendation of FDA and EHEDG.

The dispersing tools are interchangeable within each construction size and drives can be supplied to suit the required conditions for capacity, power consumption and protection type - such as Ex-protection.

For R & D work, the LABOR-PILOT is the first choice machine. Its modular construction enables the selection of a wide variety of processing units from the single-stage UTL type disperser through to the DR three-stage unit. Colloid and Cone mill attachments are also available, as are CMS and MHD units for powder dispersions. With guaranteed accurate scale-up to production size machines, this is an ideal piece of equipment for trials work.

IKA ULTRA-TURRAX UTL 2000

General Description:

The ULTRA_TURRAX UTL 2000/05 through 2000/50 are designed for high shear, in-line dispersing from flow rates 2,500 to 125,000 L/Hr. The single-stage rotor/stator units are especially suited to the production of fine and stable emulsions. The selection of suitable generators (coarse, medium, fine) ensures high turbulence and high shear stresses, resulting in reduced droplet size. In the case of emulsions, droplet diameters down to 1 micron can be achieved. For suspensions, the agglomerates of many solid/liquid applications can be reduced to the primary grain (disagglomeration).

IKA DISPAX-REACTOR DR 2000

General Description:

The DISPAX-REACTOR DR 2000/05 through 2000/50 are designed for high shear, in-line dispersing from flow rates 2,500 to 125,000 L/Hr. The 3-stage rotor/stator units are especially suited to the production of very fine and stable emulsions. The selection of suitable generators (coarse, medium, fine) enables very high turbulence and high shear stresses, resulting in reduced droplet size. Complete disagglomeration and a reduction in particle size.

IKA DISPAX-REACTOR DRS 2000

General Description:

The DISPAX-REACTOR DRS 2000 is capable of running higher shaft speeds. The increased speeds result in even greater shear stress for finer mixing and emulsifying.

These units have capacities from 700 to 40,000 L/Hr.
